WCSD E-Mail Access WCSD Staff: If you do not have a District e-mail account and would like one, please contact your designated Site Technology Team member for assistance. The mail links are for WCSD staff members only. Outlook Web Access from INSIDE the District Outlook Web Access from INSIDE the District (Mac OSX) Outlook Web Access from OUTSIDE the District Outlook Web Access Help Security is a major issue for all servers and the new Exchange Outlook Web Access (OWA) application is no exception. Each user must be authenticated and pointing to the correct server before his or her mailbox will open from a browser interface. Instructions for using OWA are included below. Please read them completely before following the links. From OUTSIDE the district go to http://owa.wcsd.k12.ca.us/exchange. (If you see an under construction message you forgot the /exchange. You also cant get there if you add a www before the owa.k12.ca.us/exchange.)
From INSIDE the district go to http://wcdoe2k/exchange
A window will popup with either two or three fields to enter your user information for authentication. The number depends upon the browser version that you are using. If you have three fields showing enter:
If you have two fields showing enter:
Click OK; do NOT check the save this password box. That would allow anyone to just sit at your computer, read your e-mail and send messages that appear to come from you.) If you have AOL as your Internet service provider:
When you are finished in OWA be sure to LOG OFF. When you log off you will see a screen that reminds you to CLOSE all browser windows and EXIT or QUIT the browser application. If you do not do this, especially at a computer in the staff lounge or library media center, the next person that comes along may either open your mailbox without authenticating or they cannot open their own mailbox. If you try to use OWA and you get an Access Denied message, the person using OWA before you on that computer did not EXIT the application. To correct this go File > Exit or Quit, then reopen the browser (usually Internet Explorer inside the district) and proceed as above. |
