The
role of WCSD Technology Services is to implement and maintain technology
that supports academic instruction, professional development, administrative
services and two-way communication.
The Technology Committee has
set the following priorities for 2005-2006:
Curriculum
- All teachers and students at all grade levels, including GATE, ELL,
Title I and special needs students, will have access to and use technology
resources, including assistive devices, as instructional and learning
tools to help implement the WCSD curriculum guidelines that are aligned
with the California Curriculum Frameworks and Content Standards.
- Students will meet or exceed the WCSD Standards for Student Use of
Technology.
- Appropriate technology will be used to analyze student performance
data for curriculum improvement to serve all students.
- Teachers and administrators will use technology to improve communication
with parents/guardians, colleagues and the school community.
- Ethical and responsible use of technology systems and electronic resources
will be practiced throughout the District.
