Strategic Planning in the Walnut Creek School District
The strategic planning process in the Walnut Creek School District guides our work and enables our school community to focus its effort in service of our vision and mission. It is an ongoing process where the Walnut Creek School District annually examines what it does, and why it does it.
Over a period of eight years, we have strived to align the District plan with individual site plans. The enclosed outline of the District and site plans represents a brief overview of the overall plan. In fact, for each District strategy or site tactic there are numerous action steps describing how the strategy will be accomplished, the resources necessary, and the people responsible. If you are interested in reviewing the District or site strategic plans in more detail, check the District website.
We are proud of the process
and our accomplishments. Each year, we involve approximately 150 people
who attend either the District or site annual meeting. In order to continually
encourage participation and ideas, we replace approximately one third
of the participants each year. If you are interested in participating,
see your site principal or contact the District office.
